So blame the pandemic but recently I’ve been rotting my brain with clickbait listicles that show up as advertised content on my FB timeline. They are almost exclusively curated rip-offs of Reddit posts.

One today was about people making enemies or something, anyway it included this picture and caption.

So what’s the car?

Clearly it’s something interesting enough to justify an insta pose (stance bro goals yo) and fast enough to justify the radar detector on the dash.

The 86/BRZ, bewinged prelude, RX7(?), Yellow mustang and various trailers suggests a track, drag strip or car show of some sort.

So maybe some sort of sport compact tuner? It's got a clock which might mean premium if it wasn't kinda plasticky with terrible fit to the dash - so GM?

I’m guessing 370Z. I seem to remember they had little pod things on the dash.

With that digital clock, I would have thought it was something from the 1990s or early 2000s... but then again, the 370Z is a pretty old design with the platform going back to 2001.

As a BMW CCA member, I get both their nationwide magazine and my local chapter magazine as well every few weeks . I swear half the ad space is devoted to radar detectors.

Yeah , that clock gua ge is almost identical to the pod they used all the way back in the 2003 350z. I think they changed the actual clock part a little bit, but the difference is nearly imperceptible

Yep, knew it immediately. Had one as a rental car for 30 minutes. Hated it so much I returned it for something (ANYTHING) else.
